IT'S STILL THE TWO OF US

No More Tears
Speak of lovely things, not sad.
Light each room with your smiling face!
Encourage those who are weeping.
Extend to them your love and grace.
There are too many tears in this world.
Broken hearts along with damaged lives.
Will you be a beacon, guide them safely
To the higher ground and abandon the lies?
Despair is such a deadly curse.
It has no place in a healthy mind.
In positive thinking, we can abandon it,
It's within our choice to leave it behind.
Speak of happy times, not bad.
Leading the voices in joyful song!
Show them now to lift their voices!
Singing happily! Singing long!

PROGRESS
Give me a grin and I'll give you a smile,
We'll walk around Georgia in our special style.
You give me a wink, and I'll give you what for,
There's just no telling what's behind that door.
If you give me your time, I can make you a bet
That we'd spend time together and never forget.
If you give me some wheels, we could go for a ride
To the ends of the earth in our dream world to hide.
If you give me a kiss, I will give you one back.
If you give me more kisses, I would never keep track.

TIME WITH YOU

Dare to Inspire
whining. complaining.
sometimes that's all i see
written on the pages of the aspiring poets to be.
drama, tears and endless woe.
it seems their world is filled with such.
i long to offer that healing touch.
contentment. laughter.
this, I long to read.
is the heart so sad instead and eager to bleed?
