No More Tears

Speak of lovely things, not sad.

Light each room with your smiling face!

Encourage those who are weeping.

Extend to them your love and grace.

There are too many tears in this world.

Broken hearts along with damaged lives.

Will you be a beacon, guide them safely

To the higher ground and abandon the lies?

Despair is such a deadly curse.

It has no place in a healthy mind.

In positive thinking, we can abandon it,

It's within our choice to leave it behind.

Speak of happy times, not bad.

Leading the voices in joyful song!

Show them now to lift their voices!

Singing happily! Singing long!

PROGRESS

Give me a grin and I'll give you a smile,

We'll walk around Georgia in our special style.

You give me a wink, and I'll give you what for,

There's just no telling what's behind that door.

If you give me your time, I can make you a bet

That we'd spend time together and never forget.

If you give me some wheels, we could go for a ride

To the ends of the earth in our dream world to hide.

If you give me a kiss, I will give you one back.

If you give me more kisses, I would never keep track.

TIME WITH YOU

If I had a million bucks, I"ll tell you what I'd do.
I'd fill my tank, I'd grab my bag and spend the day with you.
I know, the trip's a long one. I've made it once or twice.
But to see your face and hear your voice, wow! It would be so nice.
I'd grab some sweet Vidalias and a bag of Georgia peaches.
I'd bring some peanuts and a Coke, just to see how far it reaches.
But of all the things I could bring to you I hope that you would say
That the most delightful gift I'd bring would be bringing me your way.
I miss your gentle laughter. I miss your peaceful smile.
I love the movements that you'd make as I'd watch you all the while.
We'd snap a couple of pictures that I could take back home,
And you could share with your family, whenever they should come.
And then it would be time to end the day and I would go back home.
Cause usually with a million bucks, there's no telling where I'd roam.
But, seriously, as I ponder all the crazy things I could do,
The crazy things just don't compare, cause I'd rather spend time with you.
